Professional Morning Training — Free First Class

  • Shoonya Dance Centre 41 Stapelplein Gent, Vlaams Gewest, 9000 Belgium (map)

Two mornings a week, Tono Ferriol teaches open ballet and contemporary training for professional and semi-professional dancers. The focus is staying in shape and refining technique in a warm, welcoming environment — a professional class without the pressure. Beyond the structured training there is space to explore and connect with your own movement.

Ballet begins with a warm-up based on standard classical training: barre work to find your range of motion, finishing in the centre. Contemporary follows, working through more grounded movement drawing on Horton, Limón and Cunningham technique, and building choreographic material together.

Your first class is free, and that applies to the Thursday mornings too, which begin on 1 October. No registration needed — come once, then pick a pass. One class pass covers all four classes: spend it on ballet, contemporary, or any mix of the two.

The term runs to 10 December, ten sessions on each day. Ages 16+. Classes run in English.

On the dance floor: proper dance shoes, socks, or barefoot — no outside shoes.
