What is Burlesque?

Burlesque is a theatrical dance and performance art form that blends movement, character, confidence, storytelling, and playful audience interaction. Rooted in cabaret traditions, burlesque celebrates self-expression, stage presence, musicality, and creativity through stylised choreography and performance techniques. Classes explore body awareness, performance skills, theatrical expression, and the art of captivating an audience in a supportive and empowering environment. Age 18+.

Both early and late classes are of the same level on the same day and have been created to accommodate more people and their availability.

Zoe Bizoe (real name Zoe Blyau) is an international burlesque champion with 7 international titles and a Belgium Got Talent finalist. Despite lacking formal dance training, her passion for theatre and drama propelled her to the top of the international burlesque scene. In November 2017 she premiered her one-woman show “Cabaresque,” blending cabaret, comedy, and burlesque. Beyond performing and teaching, she is a motivational speaker focused on themes of justice, equality, and self-love, helping students discover their power through performance presence.

Hendrik Lebon (Stage Name: Bibi Lebon) graduated from the Fontys Dance Academy in Tilburg in 2005, specializing in dance theater and modern dance, and won the Jacques De Leeuw Young Top Talent Prize. As a young dancer, he was active in Kopergietery and performed in his first dance production, "Mannen" by Ives Thuwis, which took him around the world. He also performed with Theater Neon and the Royal Ballet of Flanders.

Since then, he has worked as a dancer and choreographer in various national and international theater companies. Hendrik consistently combines different disciplines such as acting, circus, burlesque, singing, and music, specializing in creating unique combinations. Currently, he is performing as a dancer in the production "Gardenia" by Les Ballets C de la B, collaborating with the Scottish dance company Curious Seed, singing in two bands (including Les Quatre au Quai), and working in the advertising and television industry. This year, he founded his own company: Goodone Productions.

Tine De Pauw (stage name: Ding Dong Dolores) is a burlesque performer from Ghent. In 2014, she graduated from the Academy for Theater in Tilburg. Not long after, she discovered burlesque for the first time and was immediately captivated by its countless facets and possibilities of performance. As Ding Dong Dolores, Tine explores the boundaries of sensuality — each performance creates a small story in which she allows her body to triumph, captivating the audience.

A Collaborative Experience: Together, Tine, Hendrik, and Zoe inspire their students to shed inhibitions and embrace their sensual sides in a playful and fun manner. Meet Your Instructors:

Tine brings her expertise in the theatrical aspects of Burlesque. She excels in the art of teasing, playing with the audience, and crafting personal stories for each performance. Her classes focus on helping individuals create their own acts and finding narratives that resonate with their unique personalities. Participants are guided through the principles of acting, performing, and teasing, learning how to captivate and enthrall an audience.

Hendrik specializes in the physical aspects of Burlesque. He empowers participants to embrace their bodies and teaches them to use movement as a form of self-expression. Hendrik's classes delve into exploring individual possibilities, enabling participants to create choreography that showcases their body with pride, love, and confidence. Through his guidance, individuals learn to accept and celebrate their bodies, presenting them in ways that exude beauty and glamour.

Zoe Bizoe
brings a unique focus on self-improvement and self-love by creating a safe space where participants can be 100% authentic. Her specialty is teaching tools for becoming more confident and turning fears into strengths. Zoe's classes encourage exploring (undiscovered) talents and pushing personal boundaries to evolve into a version of yourself you've only dreamed of becoming. ZOE BLYAU

Meet Zoe Blyau, also known by her captivating stage name, Zoe Bizoe. With an impressive collection of 7 international burlesque titles and a memorable stint in the finals of Belgium Got Talent, Zoe has undeniably left an indelible mark in the world of burlesque.

In a groundbreaking move, Zoe premiered her inaugural one-woman show in November 2017, a mesmerizing fusion of cabaret, comedy, and burlesque aptly titled "Cabaresque."

Despite not having formal training in professional dancing, Zoe's journey stands as a testament to the power of passion and determination in carving one's unique path. Her deep-rooted love for theatre, drama, and dance has propelled her into the spotlight, proving that authenticity and drive can lead to remarkable success.

Beyond the stage, Zoe emerges as a compelling motivational speaker, driven by her profound commitment to justice and equality. Whether she's captivating audiences with her performances or inspiring them with powerful words, Zoe encourages self-love and elevates stage presence to new heights.
