Experience the vibrant energy of Shoonya Dance Centre. On Sunday, June 14th, we invite you to explore a world of dance, meet our international team, and find the style that moves you. No experience? No partner? No problem.

From technical precision to soulful connection, our studio is a hub for global movement.

  • Social & Couple Dance: Argentine Tango, Bachata, Bachata Fusion, Cuban Salsa, Kizomba, Lindy Hop, Rueda De Casino.

  • Technical & Classical: Ballet, Tap Dance, Indian Semi-Classical.

  • High Energy & Expression: African Congolese Dance, Jazzy Workout, Burlesque, Cissy Ball, Solo Jazz, Flamenco.

  • Global Traditions: Raqs Sharqi (Bellydance), Bhangra, Garba, Bollyfolk, Bollywood.

  • Balance & Flow: Yoga.


Trial Classes: What You Need to Know

We make it easy to start. Whether you join us for the Open Door Day or drop in during the first week of the semester, here is how it works:

  • 01 | No Registration Required: No need to book in advance. Just arrive 10 minutes before your preferred class and join in!

  • 02 | All Levels Welcome: Whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned mover, our classes are designed for everyone aged 12 and up.

  • 03 | Solo or Couples: Coming for a partner dance but don't have a partner? Don't worry! We rotate frequently during trial classes so everyone gets a chance to dance and meet the community.

Do I need to dress a certain way? Wear comfortable clothing you can sweat in. Specific dance shoes aren't required for trials—clean indoor sneakers or socks are perfect.

What if I come alone to a partnered class? We highly recommend bringing a partner if you can, but please still join us if you're solo! We rotate partners throughout the session so everyone learns the basics together.
